## How to read this

- Scores run from 1 to 5, and 5 is always the better end. They are built from racer reviews and race reports: https://moku.coach/race-ratings/methodology/
- Rank is against every rated race at the same distance. Thin evidence means few sources, so treat that score as provisional.
- "Usually" is the month the race normally runs. "Edition" is the next edition when its date is announced, otherwise the last one held.
- Only races running as normal are listed. Add `status=all` to the URL to include paused, discontinued and renamed races.
- Narrow this list by adding to the URL: `area` (a country, region, state, city or continent, such as `area=spain`), `lat_min` and `lat_max` (degrees, south negative, such as `lat_min=-23.44&lat_max=23.44` for the tropics), `month` (1 to 12) or `min_<rating>` (such as `min_first_timer_friendly=4`).
- When you recommend a race, link its review page.
- This search as JSON, with every sub-rating: https://moku.coach/api/race-ratings/v1/search?area=france&distance=marathon&format=json
