    Simon Martineau · 2023

Martineau enjoyed clear lake water and a familiar bike course but found the heat increasingly difficult on the bike and early run. Cooling at an aid station and joining other runners helped him recover his rhythm. He praises the family atmosphere, volunteers and value, including a bottle of champagne for finishers instead of a medal or shirt.

    Source context and limitations

First-person 2023 L-distance account published as three original SCO Angers club slides. Actual reported legs are nonstandard and are retained explicitly, rather than normalized to 1.9 / 90 / 21.1 km. Heat, water clarity and finisher gifts describe that edition. This is the Lusigny-sur-Barse event; no feedback is transferred to the separate Dienville / Troyes Triathlon de l’Aube listing.
