  • RaceCheck (Keren M.)Raced 2016 · aggregator · Positive

A Gold Visor reviewer at the 2016 Asia-Pacific Championship called it the best-organized event they had raced, with huge crowds along the run and a recovery area with cold showers, ice pools and massages. • SunStar Pages: Battling the Wind and WavesRaced 2026 · article · Mixed

A relay racer called the 2026 swim the toughest since 2012, with a current that produced zig-zagging and a shortened course of about 1 km (0.6 mi). The bike was the hardest of his Cebu races, with gusts worst on the CCLEX descent, while overcast skies made the run the easiest leg.

  • SunStar Pages: TRIbu Cebu takes on Ironman 70.3Raced 2014 · article · Positive

Pre-race preview by a relay team; one swimmer, who first raced the event in 2014, says the Mactan water feels comfortable at dawn with vibrant coral reefs and marine life, and calls racing alongside elites surreal. The bike is described as the showcase because it crosses the CCLEX three times.

  • Police report for the 11th edition: 1,400 athletes from 49 countries, 800 security personnel and only minor incidents (one minor bike fall, one runner who lost consciousness).

  • Spin.ph: Ferris, Watkinson winRaced 2025 · article · Positive

2025 race report: overcast with rain and sun, a brief shower made the CCLEX bridge slippery and a minor bike crash involved several riders. Winners praised the deafening crowd of locals and schoolchildren.
