Shathiso (The Gaborone Runner) · 2018

Shathiso enjoyed a flat route through old and new Gaborone and the energy of running with friends and seeing family. The late merge with 10 km runners required weaving, and running alone became harder, but she felt proud and joyful at the finish.

    Source context and limitations

Other-distance context from Shathiso’s 2018 Diacore half marathon in her home city. Her friends, spouse and family provided personal support, and she credits her running coach. The half’s merge and route do not establish full-marathon conditions or current operations.
