This first-time half-marathoner enjoyed the riverside scenery and encouragement from other runners. Loose gravel made the late miles harder, and the uphill walk back to the distant parking lot was tiring. They appreciated the finish-line pizza and snacks, though they had to look for water.
Source context and limitations
A first-time runner’s 2024 half-marathon account. The post labels the race September 26, while its October 28 publication and the listed 2024 event date conflict, so the exact race day remains uncertain. Gravel, parking and refreshments describe that outing; they do not establish present marathon conditions. No organizer affiliation is stated.
