A 2011 volunteer liked the Halloween costumes and finisher medals and described it as another fine Coastal event. In a follow-up comment, they said volunteers were short that day and they were moved among several tasks.
Source context and limitations
Perspective: race volunteer; this is not a finisher review. Historical volunteer perspective from October 30,2011, with the writer’s direct event affiliation disclosed. The current race uses Hellyer County Park and certified Coyote Creek courses; this older account does not establish an unchanged location, course, staffing level or medal design. The volunteer-shortage comment concerns that day only. The writer’s secondhand account of contest prizes and quoted course elevation are excluded. No sponsored entry is disclosed.
