The runner was glad to finish with a Boston-qualifying time despite an uncomfortable race. A rushed arrival left little time for long toilet queues, and a pothole early on unsettled their ankle. Their limited recent road running and poor sleep also shaped the experience.
Source context and limitations
A brief, pseudonymous 2019 full-marathon account. Late arrival, poor sleep and limited road preparation shaped the runner’s discomfort. The pothole and queue observations concern that edition, and a personal qualifying result does not establish course speed or guarantee Boston entry.
