Mayank found the opening stretch very crowded after starting near the back. Once clear of the crowd, he enjoyed a good race, though running alone made his target pace harder to hold. Water support was adequate for his ten-kilometer effort.
Source context and limitations
A 2023 ten-kilometer account, not a full-marathon review. Mayank’s employer Akamai sponsored the event and provided his free entry. His views on competitive depth and crowding apply to that shorter race, not the later-starting marathon. The event was renamed in 2026; current route and services may differ.
