Juan Carlos Carera / Carrera Casas, interviewed by Alejandro Ramírez · 2017
Juan Carlos found the undulations and hot final kilometres demanding, despite descriptions of the course as fast. He adjusted effort to how he felt and was pleased with fourth place and an improvement over an earlier attempt.
Source context and limitations
A brief 2017 interview with an elite full-marathon finisher, whose performance goals differ from recreational runners’. The article spells his surname inconsistently and prints an incorrect course-distance figure; neither is silently treated as authoritative. Sponsor and course details may have changed. Historical heat and hills do not establish the 2026 course.
