  • Tor Rønnow

Raced 2026 · Tor on Marathon: Angkor Empire 2026

    Tone: Positive

A late full-marathon finisher recommends the event and temple visit. Praises professional organization, friendly runners and plentiful water and energy drinks. The almost flat route became very hard in heat and humidity. Officials let him finish beyond the stated cutoff; that was individual discretion, not a general extension.

  • Akiko Sugo (菅生晶子)

Raced 2026 · Akiko Sugo: Angkor Empire 2026

    Tone: Positive

A returning-from-injury runner enjoyed the temples, children's encouragement and finish refreshments. Found collection quick and nearby toilets convenient. The narrow dark start had uneven footing; local vehicles shared sections. Pace groups became inconsistent and heat was severe. Reports prompt medical help for a companion after finishing.

  • The Miles Runner

Raced 2015 · The Miles Runner: Angkor Empire 2015

    Tone: Mixed

Loved the race and people, but found the heat and humidity very difficult. Describes flat roads, staffed drink stops and intermittent village support. Toilets were scarce and morning traffic included heavy vehicles. Straightforward collection helped, though these operations belong to 2015.
