Why people love it

  • Festival atmosphere, with loud crowds on the Falls Road and Ormeau Road according to every Racecheck reviewer.
  • A tour of east, west, north and south Belfast from Stormont to Ormeau Park.
  • Cool race-day mean of 8 °C (48 °F), near ideal for running.
  • Well-signed, safe course: Racecheck rates navigation 4.53 and safety 4.58 of 5.

Watch out for

  • Few toilets at Stormont and a slow shuttle from City Hall. Plan for queues.
  • Medals ran short in 2026, mostly for relay legs, and the finish area was crowded.
  • Do not charge the early downhill. The climb between 27 and 32 km (17 and 20 mi) bites.
  • General entry sold out in 2026, so register early.
