4.8 out of 5 from 470 ratings; difficulty 2.6, scenery 4.6, production 4.8, swag 4.3. Runners agree on strong organisation and communication, frequent well-stocked water stops, a flat course with one hill around miles 13 to 15 (km 21 to 24) and efficient shuttles. Complaints: limited post-race food, a quiet first half, one mile-15 stop out of water and a weak volunteer thank-you.

  • MarathonGuide Missoula reviewsRaced 2026 · aggregator · Positive

Three reviews: scenic course, outstanding crowd support and well-stocked water stops, a hill between miles 13 and 14 (km 21 to 22), a 2026 cool rainy day that helped, and a note that warm weather would be hard with long unshaded stretches. One runner rated it middle of 17 marathons.

    “outstanding crowd support”
