    JK McDowell · 2019

JK enjoyed the small Valley Thaw Out 10K, its mountain views, friendly runners, stocked aid stations and entertaining course signs. Long uphill and downhill grades made the run challenging. She appreciated the school’s heated shelter, easy parking and pickup, and the generous prizes.

    Source context and limitations

A participant’s account of the April 2019 10K, providing historical festival context rather than a full-marathon review. That edition started at a school; the current event starts at Pyrah’s Pioneer Peak Farm and has added a marathon. Her description does not establish current shelter, course, prizes or services. She identifies with Team RWB and reports winning a door prize; no organizer affiliation is stated.
