The runner enjoyed a relaxed small-race start and the residents’ cheering, but found rolling hills and quieter late stretches challenging. Support remained for the slower finishers, and ringing the first-marathon bell felt memorable. Despite a difficult final mile, the runner wanted to return.
Source context and limitations
A 2024 first-marathon run/walk account by a Reddit user. Humid conditions and personal pacing shaped the experience. The 2027 organizer’s marathon page retains inconsistent older date and 2026 maps, so no unchanged current route or start time is assumed. No affiliation or gifted entry is stated.
