  Miriam Diaz-Gilbert · 2026

Diaz-Gilbert valued the friendly conversations and encouragement on the flat lakeside loop. She described a hot day with plenty of walking and enjoyed sharing the course with other runners, ultimately recommending the event.

  Source context and limitations

A June 2026 account from the festival’s 12-hour ultra, rather than the Midnight Marathon. Her observations concern daytime heat, the shared lake loop and runner camaraderie. The marathon has a separate midnight start, direction and distance. This is a personal blog that also promotes the writer’s memoir; no organizer affiliation or gifted entry is stated.
