Jody Arneson (MidAtlanticDayTrips)
Jody Arneson enjoyed the wetlands and farm-pasture scenery along the Indian Head Rail Trail, noticing deer, a turkey and other wildlife during an electric-bike ride. Her account, published in 2022, describes the trail as exposed to the sun.
Source context and limitations
Perspective: course preview outside the race; race-day execution is not established. Outside-race cycling context from an account published in September 2022; the actual ride date is not stated. Part of the named White Plains–Indian Head trail is shared by the current mapped race. This does not assess the full repeated marathon, its support, runner experience or current shade and wildlife. The writer also saw an unidentified 5K, which is not treated as this festival. Personal travel-publication perspective; no race-organizer affiliation is stated.
