Westy · 2008
Westy enjoyed the park, forest trails and views, but the sustained climb and altitude were harder than expected. He became confused about aid-station mileages, ran out of water late and reported an absent final station. His pacing and hydration mistakes compounded a difficult six-hour finish.
Source context and limitations
A personal runner’s 2008 full-marathon report during a family road trip. He acknowledges misremembering station locations and pacing too hard; the late aid concern remains his account. The old course and support pattern may differ today.
