thebeardedactuary (Dallas Running Guide)
In an older outside-race run on Duck Creek Greenbelt, thebeardedactuary found the concrete paths wide and almost flat. He described much of the western path north of Oates Road as shaded and enjoyed the route as a change from his usual Dallas runs.
Source context and limitations
Perspective: course preview outside the race; race-day execution is not established. Historical outside-race running context from a post published in December 2012. The described outing includes Duck Creek paths north of Oates Road used by the published 2026 Garland route, but also extends beyond that course. His broad appraisal does not isolate every shared section. The actual outing date and year are unverified. This does not review the marathon, race-day services, present shade or trail conditions, safety, or the whole current course. No numerical trail ratings are transferred.
