Vanessa Vila · 2019
Vila liked the wooded course and found the event well organized, despite struggling personally. She describes muddy sections and a long pre-race restroom queue, and appreciated other runners slowing to encourage her.
Source context and limitations
A March 2019 ten-mile account from a year when trail closures moved the race to Bur-Mil Park. It concerns a shorter historical course. The organizer changed the event to 5, 10 and 17 miles for 2025 and retains those options in 2026; this is not evidence of a current full marathon. No organizer affiliation is stated.

How we checked these details

The organizer’s archive lists a full marathon for March 12, 2022. The current race offers only 5, 10 and 17 miles; its 2026 date does not identify a full marathon. The final year a full marathon was held is unconfirmed. Historical shorter-distance feedback stays event context.
