  Emma C. Pegues

Emma calls Lakeshore Drive one of her favorite places to run in New Orleans, particularly the section by the university. She enjoys the lakefront setting and thinks it is an underrated part of the city.

  Source context and limitations

Perspective: course preview outside the race; race-day execution is not established. Historical outside-race running context from a local magazine column published in November 2013; the actual outing dates are unknown. It concerns the university-adjacent Lakeshore Drive section shared with the announced 2026 map, not the whole course, a race edition or event services. The article includes advertising and a photo supplied by a commercial jogging-tour company. Road conditions and arrangements may have changed.
