Lauren loved her September 2023 morning walk on the Boone Greenway with her dog. She appreciated the wooded river corridor and described sharing the path with walkers, runners, cyclists and other local users.
Source context and limitations
Perspective: course preview outside the race; race-day execution is not established. Historical outside-race walking context on the Boone Greenway river corridor shared with part of the current mapped route. The writer also walked separate Kennedy Trails; that part is excluded here. This does not describe the full repeated marathon course, current surfaces, race services or present conditions. The personal travel blog discusses breweries and camping; no race-organizer affiliation is stated.
