Marcus Doucette
Marcus describes the downtown-to-Shorewood stretch of the Oak Leaf Trail as his favorite local cycling route. On family rides toward Estabrook or Hubbard Park, he values the riverside stops and the feeling of being surrounded by nature within the city.
Source context and limitations
Perspective: course preview outside the race; race-day execution is not established. Outside-race cycling context published in May 2024, covering the shared downtown-to-Shorewood Oak Leaf Trail corridor. Marcus is a Radio Milwaukee contributor, and the staff roundup promotes station membership and a bicycle giveaway. He does not review Warrior Rush, the whole marathon course, running conditions, traffic control, aid or organization; trail conditions may have changed by the 2026 race.
