Bobby Aswell · 2011
Aswell enjoyed the solo option at a festival dominated by relay teams. He thought it offered good value, but warned that the repeated hills became wearing after many laps.
Source context and limitations
A club-hosted report of the 2011 solo full marathon, then called Valentine's Day Massacre Marathon. The old event domain now serves the Heartbreaker event. It is a historical account: fees, lap details and services may have changed. Aswell used it as a training run for other marathons, which shaped his relaxed approach. Club selection and affiliation are disclosed; no gifted entry is stated.
