    The runner enjoyed the variation through Furman’s campus and sharing early miles with a friend. Hills and late cramps made the return difficult, with walking breaks before a memorable stadium finish and family greeting. They were relieved to complete another long race only two weeks after an ultramarathon.

    A 2012 full-marathon report by the organizing Greenville Track Club’s volunteer webmaster and board member, a clear affiliation. Racing an ultramarathon two weeks earlier and an ambitious early pace shaped their fatigue. The historical course and stadium finish may differ today; observations about other runners’ medical incidents are excluded.
