The runner thought the half offered good value and enjoyed racing with friends. The age-group medal allocation was disappointing, but a harder-than-planned effort still ended in a personal best.

  Source context and limitations

A 2014 half-marathon report by an unnamed personal blogger. This was the older August evening race, while the current full marathon takes place in a different season and extends the half course. The account is shorter-distance historical context, not a full-marathon review. The writer's personal best and expectations about age-group awards shaped the assessment; current fees and awards may differ.
