  After cycling the Great Guernsey Trail between Cambridge and Lore City, Karen enjoyed its scenery, shaded rest areas and convenient trailheads. She found the ride pleasant but wished the trail were longer.

  Perspective: course preview outside the race; race-day execution is not established. An outside-race cycling account published in 2014 about the named Great Guernsey Trail between Cambridge and Lore City, which the current race also uses. It concerns scenery and resting places on that trail portion, not marathon participation, race services, the downtown section or the whole current route. The trail has since been described as longer, and its present surface and facilities are not verified by this old ride. No organizer affiliation is stated.
