  Derek Clark · 2018

Derek loved the river, forest and rail-trail scenery, including a memorable dark tunnel. He praised encouraging aid volunteers and staffed road crossings, then enjoyed substantial finish food. The repetitive flat-to-gently-descending running left him sore despite his usual preference for hillier races.

  Source context and limitations

A 2018 full-marathon account by physical therapist and running coach Derek Clark on his practice’s website, a commercial professional affiliation. This inaugural course and services may differ today. His performance perspective favors hillier terrain; source jokes, personal medical speculation and comparative speed claims are not imported as facts.
