Athlete feedback and reports

  • Arnsberg 2023: marathon participant report ↗

    Dirk, Obstakels.com / Dutch Mud Men · 2023

Dirk recommends the hilly woodland terrain, relaxed event atmosphere, teamwork and Flyer slide, with strong praise for arrival, aid, bag drop and the finish. His reservations are queues at some obstacles and a route shorter than a full marathon. He entered the nominal marathon and describes four loops totaling 40 km, with about 1,100 m of climbing reported by his watch.

Complete original report, including conclusion and declared retailer connection, read. Published 22 June 2023 about the preceding Arnsberg weekend; exact raced day is not fixed here. Entered marathon and reported loop sum are kept distinct; watch elevation is a participant claim. The author identifies with Dutch Mud Men and the page promotes its gear shop. Historical participant recommendation, not an independent audit of the course or evidence of a future Arnsberg edition. No numerical score is supplied.

  • Arnsberg inaugural 2022 edition: 16 km club report ↗

Kerstin Honingh-Bauhaus, published by TriForce Vital · 2022

Honingh-Bauhaus enjoyed the steep terrain and varied obstacles as a change from triathlon, highlighting teamwork walls, slides, log sawing/carries and muddy crawls. She reports finishing the 16 km tired and happy and wanting to return; she substituted burpees at the monkey bars.

Complete original signed club report read. The page carries June 2022 publication/update dates and calls this the first Arnsberg edition; a separate publisher byline names Camila Alfaros, while the narrative is explicitly signed Kerstin Honingh-Bauhaus. This is a finishing account with acknowledged incomplete obstacle performance, not proof that every obstacle was completed. Reported 500 m climbing is not independently measured here. Historical 16 km perspective; no numerical score or current edition is inferred.

  • Historical listing: the organizer confirms the 21–22 June 2025 edition at Jagdschloss Herdringen. The current German calendar lists Airport Weeze but no new Arnsberg date; no 2026/2027 Arnsberg edition is inferred and permanent retirement is unverified.
  • The historical adult/general-public programme is listed separately from the Family Edition. The nominal marathon comprises 16 + 12 + 6 + 6 km loops plus transitions; the organizer explicitly warns it is not exactly 42.195 km.
