Complete original article and all seven comments read. This summary uses the six self-described participant comments posted in September/October 2016; the photographer comment is excluded. Three explicitly mention 18 km, one discusses the 12 km route, and two do not establish an entered distance. One describes being unable to run the whole way; finishing and full obstacle completion are not verified for every commenter. The article author ran a Friday preview with the organizer while working the Dutch Mud Men booth, so his preview is not counted as another public-race participant review. Containing page counted once; aliases are not independently verified athletes. Historical opinions, not confirmation of today’s course, weather or services. No numerical score is supplied.
