Source context and limitations
The complete relevant participant article on physical page eleven of the original 17 April 2015 issue identifies his 14 March Levi outing on a reported five-kilometre course. He is a captain serving at the National Defence University. Author Juha Kylä-Harakka writes for Suomen Sotilasurheiluliitto, which is a race partner with the Finnish Defence Forces; this is a selected partner-publication account. His exact entry class and personal entry funding are unstated. Reported third place, time and wave conditions are sporting details, not an independently rechecked result or overall rating. The adjacent article’s fifteen/sixteen-obstacle difference stays unresolved. Training and blanket fitness assurances are excluded; no numerical overall.

How we checked these details
- The organizer’s original report explicitly identifies the 14 March 2015 Levi race and five-kilometre results. The race-partner magazine independently names Levi winter-sports centre in Kittilä, Levikeskus as event centre and a course on the front slopes, including the Snow Park area. The exact start and surveyed route remain unverified.
- The report describes deep snow, climbing nets and walls, carrying logs, a snow ramp, a snow tunnel and an ice-water finish. Its two Finnish Defence Forces-designed obstacles differ from the magazine’s three military obstacles. The magazine’s participant article says fifteen obstacles while its adjacent event article says sixteen. Counting conventions are unresolved; neither number is treated as a definitive inventory.
- The organizer’s pair result combines two participants’ times, and team standings sum four fastest members’ times. These are classifications within the same event, not proof of a relay. Race times, placements and entry totals are not satisfaction ratings.
- The PDF upload path is from 2025, but its actual masthead is 17 April 2015. Its author is Juha Kylä-Harakka and its publisher, Suomen Sotilasurheiluliitto, is a race partner alongside the Finnish Defence Forces. Only the relevant articles and masthead were read, not the entire issue. No current Levi edition is verified.
- Distances and obstacle figures are advertised or reported estimates. Historical experiences do not establish an unchanged later course or a current event. The checked sources provide no numerical overall for this family.
