- Murder Creek 2024: rerouted first-wave participant account ↗
Evan Perperis, OCR Buddy · 2024
Perperis praises quick check-in, nearby parking, clear markings and a mix of strength, balance and technical obstacles. Flooding forced a reroute that he reports as about 4.4 miles; he welcomed the extra distance. His first-wave rig was challenging in the dew, and he wanted to return.
Complete original first-person report read. Published 24 April 2024; first-wave experience, exact raced day not established by this account. The reported approximately 4.4 miles and flood detour are historical, not the organizer’s current advertised 3+ mile distance. The writer contributes to commercial OCR media and promotes its race-finder app; gifted entry/compensation is unverified. No overall numerical score is supplied.
- Most recent primary-confirmed edition; no future date or retirement inferred. The adult competitive/open course is separate from the shorter youth race. General series FAQ ages/times differ from the event page, so event-specific details take precedence.
- The 2024 participant report describes a flood-driven reroute and approximately 4.4 miles instead of the advertised 3+ miles. It does not establish the 2026 route.
