Tough Mountain Challenge 2011: competitive solo participant report ↗
Margaret Schlachter, Dirt in Your Skirt · 2011
Schlachter enjoyed the ski-resort obstacles, snow guns, rope-assisted trench, suspended net and quick check-in. She wanted fewer bottlenecks and clearer marking after taking a wrong route near the culverts, and disliked the rocky slide. She reports finishing her solo race and wanting another attempt.
Complete original narrative and conclusion read. Published 25 July 2011 about Sunday River; exact raced day and total distance are not fixed by this account. This is a competitive solo perspective, and she left soon after her heat, so it does not cover the whole festival. She was unsure whether one unseen obstacle had been removed or missed during her navigation error; that is not treated as a verified missing obstacle. The publisher promotes coaching/shop services; gifted entry is unverified. Historical feedback, not confirmation of today’s course or logistics. No numerical score is supplied.

Only obstacle-course divisions are described here; this festival may also offer ordinary runs or other activities. Registration dates are historical when no future edition is listed.
