How we checked these details
- The organizer’s retained programme explicitly names 15 October 2016 at Beaver Island State Park. The page’s estimated 2026 header does not establish a revival. The advertised 3.5-plus miles is a programme description, not a surveyed exact distance.
- One native 2016 review praises organization and course marking. Its posting date is not independent proof of the author’s finish; the page’s inconsistent generic start timestamp is not adopted. No present-day programme is established.
