Athlete feedback and reports

  • Gendringen 2020 — 9 km recreational and 14 km MSR ↗

Pim and Laurence, published under Jesse van Oort’s account · 2020

Pim enjoys a relatively manageable 9 km course and farmland running, but wants more technical combinations and finds the finish hard to locate. Laurence enjoys some unusual 14 km MSR obstacles but finds the cold, kayaking and subsequent log carry tiring, and would choose other races first.

Both complete original first-person sections read, published 13 February 2020 with a 1–2 February table. Pim signs 9 km and Laurence 14 km MSR; Jesse is the publishing account. Keep those formats distinct and count one containing URL. Neither author’s complete bracelet finish/time is explicit. Recommended is textual; T2/A1 are difficulty codes. The kayak component belongs to that historical course. No numerical overall score.

  • Gendringen 9 km — 2 February 2019 ↗

    Perry Reus · 2019

Reus finds supportive runners and mostly short queues, but wants more original obstacles. After losing his bracelet on a rope curtain and falling into cold water, he continues with an insulation blanket and skips a crowded water crossing. He calls the race good rather than exceptional.

Complete original first-person club account, published 1 March 2019 and explicitly dated 2 February. Actual chosen course is 9 km; complete obstacle performance and finish are not established. His companions’ 5 km beginner experience is secondhand context, not his own race or extra reviews. Recommended is textual, T2/T1 difficulty. No numerical overall rating; no entry-compensation disclosure.

  • Een survivalrun zoals het hoort ↗

    Jacob Harke · 2019

Harke enjoys a demanding cold and muddy 9 km outing, finishes with his bracelet and a top-ten placing, and praises helpful volunteers, hot broth and a warm shower. He describes long running sections through uneven muddy fields and tiring final obstacles.

Complete original signed first-person report published by the federation on 7 February 2019. The raced year and actual 9 km format are explicit, but its exact race day and finish time are unstated. Conditions, fatigue and volunteer experiences are individual historical observations. Federation selection is disclosed; no numerical overall score or compensation information.

  • The organizer and both registrations confirm 30–31 January 2027. Saturday has 5.5/8.5 km main courses and Sunday 13.5/20 km. Booking labels round several courses to 6/9/14 km; both versions are retained, rather than silently treating them as identical measurements.
  • Recreational booking terms start at age 8 for the shorter Saturday route, 10 for the longer Saturday route, 16 for 14 km and 18 for 20 km. Competition requires a licence. Police divisions restrict eligibility; the company wave and youth-only classes do not create duplicate public event families.
  • The organizer requires swimming ability and basic survivalrun techniques. Historical accounts include surrendering bracelets, bypassed obstacles and a kayaking component on one old MSR course; those are actual historical experiences, not a promise of the current layout.
