How to read these ratingsAthlete feedback and reports
- Havelte — 6.5 km adult outing, 12 May 2019 ↗
Mathijs ter Bork, with selected remarks from Mark Sparvell · 2019
Ter Bork enjoys discovering woodland and waterways with Frank and first-time guest Mark, praising the volunteers. The three reach the finish with bracelets, with advice and a little physical help for Mark’s final rope section. Mark praises the organization, challenge and companionship but dislikes repeated head-submersion crossings.
Complete original signed first-person report and full selected Mark quotation read, published 19 May 2019 and explicitly about 12 May / actual 6.5 km adults. One containing federation source, not three independent reviews. Mark’s difficult water experience is a historical participant recollection, not a current safety finding. Assistance at the final obstacle remains explicit; no exact time or proof of unaided competition clearance. Friendship/hosting and federation selection disclosed; no numerical score or entry-compensation information.
- Havelte — 4.5 km parent-child, 11 May 2025 ↗
Joran Edens, posted by Maarten Postema · 2025
Edens enjoys his first official recreational outing with his youngest son, helping each other through challenging obstacles and appreciating supportive spectators and volunteers. Heat and queues slow their progress; he fails a barrel obstacle but they reach the finish after 4.5 km.
Complete original first-person club report explicitly credited to Joran Edens, posted under Maarten Postema’s account on 22 May 2025. Actual 11 May 2025 / parent-child 4.5 km is explicit. A finish is stated but retained bracelet is not; an unsuccessful barrel and assistance to his child are preserved. His older son’s separate junior race is not the author’s format or another independent source. Club/family board affiliation disclosed, no numerical score or compensation information.
- The organizer and dated booking confirm 10 May 2026. Actual adult entries include light 6.5 km solo/pairs, heavy 7.5 km solo/pairs, licensed KSR explicitly 7.5 km and registered BSR without a separately stated length. Parent-child 4.5 km allows children from 8 with an adult; the other 4.5 km and junior-only courses are excluded.
- The 7.5 km heavy individual requires federation membership; pair terms also list members. Exact minimum age for every adult class is unstated. The start/finish is Eursingerkerkweg 2A; Havelter Schapendrift 22 is shirt collection/changing, not the race start. The federation next lists 9 May 2027 without a newly read individual programme.
- Historical accounts distinguish a 6.5 km adult outing with help for a first-time friend from a 2025 adult-and-child 4.5 km outing. Finishing with assistance or after an unsuccessful obstacle is not silently equated with perfect individual competition performance.
