  • Thorrun 9 km recreational — 9 February 2020 ↗

Participant narrator, published under Jesse van Oort’s account · 2020

The writer enjoys unusual obstacles, park and river scenery, plenty of drinks and the entertainment of a wind-blown rope traverse. The group arrives just before the start during storm Ciara, and the writer finds the route suitable for intermediate club members.

Complete original first-person club report, published 20 February 2020 and naming 9 February. Actual chosen course is 9 km recreational. The publishing account is Jesse, while the body does not sign its narrator. Its general view that intermediate runners can keep their bracelet is not proof of this writer’s own complete obstacle finish. Highly Recommended is a textual recommendation and T1 a difficulty label. No numerical overall rating or compensation disclosure.

  • The dated registration confirms the Valentine’s edition on 14 February 2027, although the organizer site title still says Thorrun 2026. Adult-eligible 5/9/13 km courses include solo, pair and group options. The standalone JSR youth competitions are excluded.
  • Recreational 13 km requires age 18+, 9 km age 15+ and the open 5 km options age 6+. MSR/KSR need a licence and BSR needs registration. The start is at De Marslanden; the Wijthmener Plas address is parking, not the start. Historic storm conditions and obstacle observations are not a forecast for 2027.
