What racers say

  • Armin Wanner and Karin Stuhler — selected 2023 year-end participant exchanges ↗

Participants quoted by Christian Kruppe / Schwabmünchner Allgemeine · 2023

Armin values enjoying a twelve-kilometre year-end outing without focusing on the clock. Karin describes returning with friends as their shared way to close the year.

Complete relevant original newspaper narrative, both selected participant exchanges and conclusion read, published 2 January 2024 with an earlier 1 January update. The organizer’s original press index identifies the eleventh edition as 31 December 2023 at Luitpoldpark. Armin’s stated 12 km is his intended/entered context, not independently verified finish or every-obstacle completion; Karin’s distance and both independent identities/funding are unknown. At-event interviews are not post-race finisher verification or a representative sample. One containing page counts once, not one per speaker. Reporter observations, donations, medical details and galleries do not add athlete opinions. No numerical score or 2027 course assessment.

  • Two native community opinions — historical year-end event atmosphere ↗

Ralf Klocke and Veronika Hoppe on HDsports

Ralf praises the setting and family atmosphere. Veronika reports having fun and wanting to return each year.

Complete original aggregate and both short native cards read. Posts are dated 23 December 2022 and 17 March 2025, both edited 17 October 2025; raced editions are unknown. Attributed community opinions with attendance, finishes, identity, affiliation and funding unverified, not verified finisher reports. The event has obstacle and obstacle-free cross entries, and neither author identifies a class or distance. One containing page counts once. The 4.3/5 overall is separately attributed event-wide context, not OCR-exclusive or recalculated from these comments. No assumption of independent reviewers, a raced cancelled-2025 edition, unchanged 2027 route or summer-race transfer.

  • The organizer’s current fourteenth-edition entry advertises 31 December 2027 at Luitpoldpark, with registration from 1 September 2027. Its banner still says 2025, while the operative calendar fields explicitly say 2027. No occurrence, exact route, cutoff or unchanged eligibility is promised from that bare future announcement.
  • The linked detailed page remains the 2024 programme: adult obstacle entries at 6.7/12 km alongside a separate obstacle-free cross-country start over the same advertised distances. Its generic distance card says six rather than 6.7 km. A two-kilometre class is not assumed adult. Old water obstacles, waves and packet pickup in Augsburg are not 2027 race logistics.
  • The original thirteenth-edition notice explicitly cancels 2025 and then anticipates 2026; that old expectation does not override the newer 2027 entry or verify a 2026 race. The native event-wide 4.3/5 includes two cards whose chosen obstacle/obstacle-free class, raced editions and attendance are unverified. It is not an OCR-only score. This winter event is separate from summer WertachXrun, and the numerical score and interviews are not transferred between them.
