    Rob enjoys the company and the running between obstacles, while finding repeated hill carries and the course extremely demanding. He has fun with his group but is initially unsure about returning.

    The full original posted 24 July 2016 explicitly names Spittal Farm and a roughly 20 km Beast, matching the primary venue and class rather than the next year’s unknown Ultra site.   • The two original organizer records identify 23 July 2016 Sprint and 24 July Beast at Spittal Farm, Ninemileburn. Coordinates are organizer metadata, not an independently surveyed start. The Sprint record does not supply a distance, so the modern five-kilometre label is not assigned. The contemporary report describes the European Championship Beast as nominally 21 km with thirty-five obstacles; these historical advertised figures are not modern fixed-distance guarantees.
