The writer found the bike unusually hilly for its length and valued a light, agile bike. After a short downhill, the run was mainly flat beside the Kyll. The account reports a teammate being delayed by a train, with waiting time deducted, and describes pleasant conditions before rain at the awards.

    Source context and limitations

First-person 2026 Gerolstein Sprint report on TG Konz’s club site. Its 500 m / 22.5 km / 5 km race is distinct from the longer Kurzdistanz in the federation listing; no experience is assigned to that longer format. Reported ascent, traffic handling and wetsuit arrangements are historical, not current guarantees.
