  • Mighty Moraine Spring: a runner supports the fog delay ↗

John Boyle, quoted by William Pitts in the Butler Eagle · 2024

Boyle supported delaying the start in the fog, explaining that the buoys were especially difficult to see from water level.

    Source context and limitations

Community opinion; participation and firsthand experience are not established. Historical comment published during the May 2024 Spring festival. The newspaper identifies Boyle as a runner but does not establish his chosen race format, a completed triathlon or whether his water-level observation came from swimming the course. This is an attributed assessment of that morning’s visibility and delay, not a current safety conclusion or a review of the selected 2027 race.
