Heiko Werner · 2017
Werner found the pool swim the easiest leg and paced the bike conservatively so he could finish the run. Encouragement from his companions helped him finish, leaving him motivated to continue and appreciative of racing together.
First-person 2017 short-course account signed Heiko Werner and published by MC Pirate, a sportswear team / retailer-affiliated site. The posting byline is Ron Prinzlau, who is not assumed to be the athlete. Historical 400 / 22 / 5 km course; the current Witzenhausen CherryMan lists a slightly longer bike leg.
