The repeat racer felt the event was even better organized and less crowded than before. She liked the seeded pool start and transition layout, found the outward bike climb tough and the descent fun, and was pleased with her best time at the race.
August 6, 2011 Sprint: 400m pool swim, 12-mile bike and 5K run. Historic organization, route and weather observations may differ today. Slower previous bike performances were attributed to her own engaged brakes, not race operations. The “hilly swim” is a joke about faulty GPS tracking, not a course claim. No race affiliation is disclosed.

Juan recommends the event and enjoyed crowd support at the pool. He found the bike hillier than expected, the pool-to-transition run long and the ten-second swim-start gaps excessive. He finished satisfied, while disliking how staggered timing obscured his position during the race.
