Organizer Heather Christensen welcomed one of the strongest turnouts of her coordinating tenure. She felt the timing system had improved the event, described a rent-a-swimmer option for nervous beginners, and acknowledged that advertising needed work. She wanted the race to remain fun for experienced and first-time athletes.
