Grand Valley swim-and-dive athlete Zachary Wheeler felt that the six-lane university pool was outdated compared with other campus athletic facilities and wanted it improved. This is a historical swimmer’s view of the shared pool, not an account of the indoor triathlon.

Only his subjective assessment that the physical facility felt outdated is retained.
