    Ragen Chastain · 2019

Ragen praised the welcoming staff, informative course briefing, clear markings and encouraging volunteers. Another athlete repaired her loose pedal, and she finished after walking much of the run. She found the seaweed unpleasant and valued the support despite a difficult personal race.

May 2019 San Diego Spring Sprint: reported quarter-mile swim, 10-mile bike and 5 km run. This is historical short-course context. She was being filmed for a documentary, received a special rack position and personal course tour, and stopped for interviews during the race. Current treatment, timings and conditions may differ.
