Reports and event feedback

  • A historical walk on the shared rail-trail approach ↗

    Peggy Eppig

On her longer February 28, 2025 walk from Brillhart Station to York College and back, Peggy described a packed-gravel trail through a mix of beautiful countryside, suburban development and city surroundings.

Perspective: course preview outside the race; race-day execution is not established. Historical hiking context for the rail-trail approach near York College, which overlaps only the rail-trail portion of the organizer’s proposed run route. Peggy’s 6.5-mile walk was longer than the shared section; its countryside, suburban and city observations are not all attributed to the short race section or the entire triathlon. The separate street loop, swim and bike were not assessed. This is not race participation, a current-condition report or a review of organization, aid or safety. No identity with an older Y-Tri event is inferred.
