Two first-time participants enjoyed the race and wanted to race again. They found swim navigation difficult in fog and sun glare. The main author found the bike hills demanding and criticized an uphill mounting area after a personal spill.
Historical Lake Murray Dam Tri Sprinternational thread; edition year unverified. The reported swim was shortened from 1000 m to 750 m, followed by a 21-mile bike and 6 km run.
