  • Liana

Raced 2013 · Run To Munch

    Tone: Mixed

A first-time participant values volunteer help and a swim angel in murky water. Bike hills and a hot, rocky trail run are demanding but enjoyable, and she finishes motivated to race again. Her wave-start experience does not establish current time-trial logistics.

  • Zane Zeeh

    Raced 2012 · Zeeh

    Tone: Mixed

A sprint finisher finds the water warm and crowded, enjoys a relatively simple bike with short hills, and finds the hot run much steeper and more technical than expected. A lost timing chip required follow-up with officials. The account describes an older wave-start edition.
