St Neots, United Kingdom · August · Independent (ATW Events)
Course: 0.8 km (0.5 mi) swim, 24 km (14.9 mi) bike, 5 km (3.1 mi) run. 750 m (0.47 mi), 24 km (14.9 mi), 5 km (3.1 mi) per Racecheck.
Why people love it
- Clear river swim from Riverside Park in St Neots, with wetsuit hire on site.
- Sprint, standard, half and full distance race on one day, so a club can race together.
- No cutoffs on the shorter distances, and camping is available on site.
- Live music and an event village kept spirits high, according to reviewers.
Watch out for
- Bike roads are open to traffic, and diversion traffic from a road closure upset riders in 2026.
- One standard-distance rider saw no bike water station and few marshals.
- No finish-line photographer in 2026, and post-race food was limited.
- A new bike course is planned for 2027, so check the route map.
- Only one edition so far, so reports are few.

What racers and reviewers say
- RacecheckRaced 2026 · aggregator · Positive
Racecheck shows 36 reviews averaging 4.59 out of 5 from the first 2026 festival, across Sprint to Full. Reviewers agree on a lively festival atmosphere with live music, friendly staff and marshals, a clear and enjoyable river swim, well-marked fast courses and good value. Concerns: little marshal presence and no bike water stations for one Standard rider, heavy traffic from a road closure, no finish photographer, limited post-race food. Pre-event communication 4.89; course congestion lowest at 4.03.
“One of the best races I have done.”
- Alan Anna blogRaced 2015 · blog · Positive
Report on the 2015 British Sprint Championships at the same Riverside Park, run by a different organiser. The Great Ouse swim had very light current, was 13 °C (55 °F) and wetsuits were worn. The 24 km (15 mi) open-road bike had a headwind stretch, a small climb and mini-roundabout hold-ups; the run was two flat, twisty park laps. Parking was a long walk from the arena. Venue evidence only.
