Why people love it

  • Bike is on closed city streets, and the run follows a riverside path.
  • River swim is usually 21 to 22 °C (70 to 72 °F) and wetsuits are allowed, per the organiser.
  • Race-morning packet pickup runs 7:00 to 9:00 AM, with one transition at the school.
  • Sprint swim is one 750 m (0.47 mi) loop with places to stand; Try-a-Tri is a gentler start.
  • Sold out around 500 adults in 2018 and 2019, with more than 200 volunteers.

Watch out for

  • Bike is 10 km (6.2 mi) loops with turns and a no-passing zone; the Olympic repeats it four times.
  • Montreal Road closes 7:00 AM to about 12:30 PM, so cars in some lots cannot leave until then.
  • Swim starts treading water in the river, in separate men's and women's waves.
  • Very few athletes have written about this race; most evidence is local news and the organiser.
  • No 2027 date was published yet.
